The BBlues One is based on the classic BluesBreaker circuit, enhanced with additional controls for tone shaping, as well as other technical improvements like noise filter, more volume, soft switching and true bypass. Designed with inspiration from John Mayer’s almost-clean tones on the Continuum era, it aims to deliver that deep, bell-like sound, while also providing a wide range of other tones. Whether you’re looking for that signature tone or need versatility for various backlines, the BBlues One has you covered.
Not too long ago, we introduced the first version of the BBlues One (the mk1 or 3-knob version), even before Marshall released their reissue of the iconic BluesBreaker pedal. Our initial version aimed to faithfully recreate the legendary circuit—then quite expensive and without an official reissue—embracing both its strengths and its shortcomings. It also featured the ability to switch between the two historic versions of the early and later circuits.
In this new version (the mk2 or 4-knob version), we have completely redesigned the BluesBreaker circuit to address the original pedal’s “flaws” from the 90s and added new controls to enhance its versatility. Despite these upgrades, the BBlues One retains the soul and original tones of the classic design.
Not a fan of Mayer? Don’t worry! While Mayer’s tones inspired the design, the BBlues One offers a wide range of sounds and applications.
